Thinking forged in high-stakes environments, applied to the complexity of modern business

From elite military service to the City

Billy Hayes is the founder of Valion. He served for over twenty years in one of the most elite military units in the world. Billy has extensive experience in planning and leading operations in high-stakes, contested environments characterised by pace, uncertainty and unpredictable change.

On leaving military service Billy spent five years in the City of London working with and advising C-suite leaders in capability development projects and strategy, and as a chief of staff. He established Valion after years of adapting planning, strategy and leadership methods used by elite military units to corporate settings, where traditional approaches to business management and strategy fell short.
